Bio - Renée Chevalier born in Cap-Chat (Quebec, Canada), she lives in Montreal.
A multidisciplinary artist, she is passionate about painting, photography and digital creation. Her talent has been recognized several times: in 2017, she won the 1st prize in the Experimental Print category at the 5th edition of the International Contemporary MiniPrint in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. In 2018, she participated in the 6th Edition of the Tokyo International MiniPrint Triennial organized by Tama Art University, Japan. In 2019, the Artist Centre Voix Visuelle awarded her the Desjardins Prize at the 14th International Edition of Miniature Digital Printmaking. Her work is regularly exhibited solo and in groups, notably at the Maison de la Culture de Pointe-aux-Trembles in Montreal in 2018 and at the Artist Centre Voix Visuelle in Ottawa in 2020. Her work is present in public, private and corporate collections around the world, including Russia, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Bulgaria, Ukraine, South Korea and Canada. In 2021 and 2022, she participated with Michelle Boudreau, composer, in the online project "Galerie Les Tours". She has also participated in prestigious exhibitions such as the MiniPrint Cantabria Collection at the Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland, as well as the annual editions of the International Contemporary MiniPrint in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, the International digital MiniPrint at the Artist Centre Voix Visuelle in Ottawa and the Global Print in Douro, Portugal. She has been selected for renowned events such as the Douro Biennial, the MiniPrint Cantabria in Spain. In 2024, Michelle Boudreau, composer, integrated the work " Temps diluvians " into the short film " Un prélude nordique ". The artist then exhibited at the MiniPrint Internacional 44 in Cadaqués, Spain and the Internacional Exhibition Intercultural Dialogue: Contemporary Graphics at the Mission Gallery-State Cultural Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the collaboration of the MiniPrint in Kazanlak in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her works will also be presented in the " Habitat " exhibition at the International Pinhole Fest 2024 at the Pavlovka Gallery in Ukraine.
